About: I retired in 2015 after over twenty years working for Devon County Council in contract management relating to social care services. I had previously worked in children's services in different parts of the Country. Retirement gave me the time and opportunity to go back to being a school governor having been involved in this for seven years in the past. I have been a governor at Ladysmith Federation for two and a half years and Chair for the last two academic years. I am a governor because I believe that every child should have the best possible experience and opportunity during their education.
